I’m the face behind Rather Social, and here’s a little bit about my history. I like to think it’s good to learn about the person you’re thinking of working with.

Where do I start? With my dad being a designer himself, I’ve naturally always been drawn towards graphic design, followed by pretty much anything creative. From my early teenage years I was building websites in my spare time and working with people all over the world, via the internet and MSN Messenger (if any of you remember that!). With software and technology always changing, I’ve learned to adapt with it and evolve, rather than fade away.

I moved to Bournemouth in 2007, enrolled in university and received my BA (Hons) degree in Graphic Design. Working within design for several years after graduating, my passion soon shifted towards photography, a new found love of cars, and fashion.

I built my own automotive clothing brand from the ground up, growing an audience entirely through social media; this allowed me to merge my creative skills and interests into a fully fledged business which became popular throughout the automotive world. Essentially, this is how I learnt how to build a brand and excel on social media.

Fast-forward several years, I sold the brand and started working with the UK’s largest automotive retailer, essentially managing every creative aspect of the business, including the social media and brand direction. It’s safe to say, I helped to transform the online presence of the business to new heights.

In 2022, I realised that I no longer enjoyed focusing on just one thing. To stay creative within myself, I thrive working with multiple people and businesses. Always having new things on my agenda keeps me on my feet and inspired to be my best. Rather Social was born, and has kept me on my toes ever since.

The key to a happy life? Work with the things you love. I’ll stick to this statement for as long as I can.
